WAIVER & RULES

SUPREME FENCING ACADEMY LLC

Participant Waiver, Release of Liability, Photo Consent, and Club Policies

Parent/Guardian Consent

I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the participant. To the best of my knowledge, my child has no injuries, illnesses, or health conditions that would prevent them from safely participating in fencing activities. I understand and accept all risks associated with fencing, including practices, competitions, training sessions, and travel to and from such activities. I agree to assume full responsibility for any injury, medical expenses, or damages that may result from my child’s participation.

Release of Liability

In consideration of the risk of injury during fencing activities, I hereby release and hold harmless Supreme Fencing Academy LLC from any and all claims of physical or psychological injury, illness, death, property damage, or economic/emotional loss that I or my child may suffer as a direct or indirect result of participating in fencing activities, including travel to and from related events.

I acknowledge that I am signing this agreement freely, that I am at least 18 years of age, and that I understand this is a legally binding release of liability. I further understand this agreement may not be altered orally.

Photo & Video Consent

I grant Supreme Fencing Academy LLC permission to use photographs and videos of my child participating in fencing activities for promotional, educational, and informational purposes.

  • These images may appear in print, broadcast, electronic media, social media, or the Academy’s website.

  • All such media are the sole property of Supreme Fencing Academy LLC and may be cropped, edited, or altered as needed without prior approval.

  • No compensation will be provided now or in the future for the use of these images.

  • I release the Academy from any claims related to the use of my child’s image, name, or likeness in connection with fencing activities.

Club Rules & Policies

1. Safety and Discipline

Safety is our highest priority. All members are responsible for maintaining a safe training environment. Fencing is a safe sport when rules are followed. Violations may result in suspension or termination of membership.

Safety requirements include:

  • Always follow instructor directions regarding safety.

  • No fencing without a mask; never point a weapon at anyone without a mask.

  • Wear full protective gear properly at all times.

  • Walk (never run) with your blade pointed toward the ground.

  • Do not put on a mask while holding a blade.

  • Connect and disconnect electrical equipment only at the end of the strip.

  • Be mindful of others when gearing up.

  • Never walk behind an active lesson or bout.

  • Store fencing equipment safely to prevent accidents.

  • Avoid hard or dangerous fencing; stop immediately when “Halt” is called.

Repeated safety violations will result in removal from class and potential termination of membership.

2. Make-Up Policy

  • Group practices are not eligible for make-up sessions.

  • Private lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice; otherwise, the full fee will be charged.

  • The Academy must be notified in advance—do not assume we know you will be absent due to tournaments, school breaks, or personal events.

  • Practices may be cancelled by the Academy for holidays or severe weather.

3. USA Fencing membership

  • All members must maintain a valid USA Fencing membership at the minimum Non-Competitive level for insurance purposes. No participation is allowed without it.

4. Competitions

  • Participation in competitions is encouraged as part of skill development.

  • Members may attend local, regional, or national tournaments—discuss travel plans with your coach.

  • If a coach travels with a member, the member is responsible for coaching, transportation, lodging, and meal expenses—payable before travel.

  • Coaching fees are non-refundable if the member withdraws or fails to attend.
